Dr. Nathan Goodly is an alternative education administrator and university lecturer championing educational leadership, culturally responsive teaching, student equity, and mentorship.
A first-generation college graduate, Goodly was born in New York and grew up in San Bernardino, California. His career reflects a commitment to expanding educational opportunity and creating meaningful experiences that help students see beyond their current circumstances.
Goodly is an administrator within the Orange County Department of Education’s ACCESS division, where his work includes alternative education and juvenile court schools serving justice-involved youth. He also lectures in Africana Studies at California State University, Long Beach, connecting scholarship, culture, and experience with teaching and student engagement.
His professional experience includes educational leadership, special education, higher education, broadcast journalism, and Hip Hop media bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to his work in education.
